Empower Youth Through Vocational Training

As part of our interventions, we offer subsidized vocational training to empower youth to tackle the effects of poverty in their lives and their communities.

Empowering Youth Through Vocational Training

Youth in Kenya face many challenges. At the heart of these challenges is poverty that makes them vulnerable to involvement in risky behavior, cutting short their potential, dreams and lives.

HOPE worldwide Kenya works with youth in informal settlements and addresses the structural drivers that directly and indirectly increases their vulnerability including poverty, gender inequality, sexual violence, and a lack of education.

At our Mukuru Center of HOPE, youth have a safe space where they can receive the following trainings:

Computer training Skills

$25 (Kshs. 2,500) will provide one beneficiary with computer training skills.

Hair and Beauty Training

$70 (Kshs. 7,000) will provide one beneficiary with Hair and Beauty training for 6 months.

Fashion and Design Training

$70 (Kshs. 7,000) will provide one beneficiary with Fashion and Design training for 6 months.

Hair and Beauty business start-up Kit

$100 (Kshs. 10,000) will provide one beneficiary with Hair and Beauty business start-up Kit comprised of various hair and beauty tools and products.

Fashion and Design business start-up Kit

$200 (Kshs. 20,000) will provide one beneficiary with Fashion and Design business start-up Kit comprised of a sewing machine and sewing materials.
