HOPE worldwide Kenya (HWWK) Participates in the Nairobi International Trade Fair and Contributes to National AIDS Control Council Award

NACC scoops:    1st position - The Best Non-Government and Community Based Organization Stand, 1st position - The Best Community Based Organization Stand, and 3rd position - The Best Display and Services in the Health Sector and Pharmaceuticals

This year, HWWK proudly joined other civil society organizations hosted under the National AIDS Control Council (NACC) stand to showcase their work and celebrate the milestones  achieved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in line with the year’s theme, ”Enhancing Technology in Agriculture and Industry for Food Security and National Growth”.

At least 40 organizations were represented within the stand and all shared a display of concerted efforts against HIV/AIDS to ensure an HIV free generation.

Colorful posters invited the public to access services that were on offer at the stand including HIV Testing and Counselling (HTC), Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), cervical cancer screening, and family planning, among others.

After the official opening on 1st October by His Excellency the President, Honorable Uhuru Kenyatta, the Trade Fair really came alive! ”Our youth, especially girls between 15-24 years, require our attention and we must develop programs that address this group”, said Professor Mary Getui, NACC Chairperson during her visit to the HWWK exhibition booth.

Our dedicated volunteers worked with the Communication’s Team to pass information to the public and to share about the work HWWK is doing with key populations (sex workers, men having sex with men), youth, children, their care givers, and the general public.
